Clicking through dialogs, but no "real" crafting (just clicking on ingredience in storage or instantly bought). Also no "real" foraging, Mining etc. Basically one is just investing daily energy points for various tasks.. Pros:+You can date female characters and even have poly relationships if you're into these things. +The dialogue wasn't tiresome. I have played some visual novels that have heavy dialogue that bores you after a while. Cons:-The characterization is actually rather poor mainly because you actually barely get to spend any time with the characters. I wish there were maybe fewer characters so that you could spend more time with each one of them-The crafting is generally alright, however the final quests are a bit too hard, even on easy mode. It is way too difficult to raise the stats to the required level. I think they should have made it a bit easier.-There is actually very little romance. I felt that this was more of a game about friends than about romance.Overall, I was disappointed and I expected more. It's not a terrible game, but I felt like they wasted its potential. The idea of the crafting mini game was interesting but the execution was rather mediocre.. It's a good game and I enjoyed playing it, BUT there are WRONG and RIGHT choices. I started playing thinking that dark choices would lead to a darker ending, of course, but "happy" or at least "bittersweet". Something like Amber becoming evil. However, dark choices in most cases lead to terrible, sad endings for Amber and her romances. The info said there were no wrong or right choices, but there are. You have to be a goodie two shoes if you want the main character to have a successful relationship. And... meh. Dark choices are more interesting and in a lot of cases, make more sense Why should Amber kneel before that imbecile of a knight? Nope, she's strong, smart and values herself. Why is it a bad choice that she refuses to kneel before someone who is being racist and insulting her for no reason?Apart from this, the music was really good and the time skip allowing the players to see the characters become adults was great too. No complaints about the art, it was good. Maybe I was expecting a little more of plot, but I understand that this game relied on the alchemy parts and if I choose to play it as a VN I loose a lot of content.. Cute, but overpriced. Clicking through dialogs, but no "real" crafting (just clicking on ingredience in storage or instantly bought). Clicking through dialogs, but no "real" crafting (just clicking on ingredience in storage or instantly bought). Also no "real" foraging, Mining etc. Basically one is just investing daily energy points for various tasks.. Interesting world and story, but characters fall flat or outside my tastes. The store\/skill raising gets old kinda fast, and a good portion of the scenes feel disconnected and random. 5\/10 Maybe buy on sale but not one of my favorite WW games.. although this game isnt as good as loren the amazon was it is still pretty good. the story is pretty good but it feels like it ends a bit too suddenly and the romances arent very long, there are a few scenes but it doesnt feel as deep or meaningful like in some of their other games. im not too sure who i like out of the romance options because they are all likeable and cute romances. i liked Cosa's romance the best so far, i feel that we get to know her and her cousin more and you can feel a bit of a connection. although the "sex" scene did feel like it was rushed a bit but overall it was quite enjoyable. i liked the noble elf romance (cant remember his name) because you kinda build up to feeling inimate with him but you dont really see him very often and there isnt a lot of scenes for him. overall this game is fun if you like crafting and even if you dont you can play on story mode where you can skip the crafting. the main character is cute and relateable because she has a hard time making friends because of her race (dark elf) but she doesnt let that bring her down and tries her best to become the best alchemist. i do reccomend this game because its enjoyable and cute but also is quite fun if you enjoy games from this company and genre ^.^. So good, I really liked the game! I've still got loads of endings to play through, definitely a good buy. I enjoyed how the game was split up into two parts (adolescence and adulthood) that was a good touch. I only wish there were more male partner options; there are only 3. However each one has 4 possible endings, so I suppose it almost makes up for it :). I liked it a lot - more for story & the art than the crafting - but defintiely one of the best Aravorn games. The gameplay did get a little bit grindy towards the end (nowhere like Queen of Thieves), but there is a pure storyline mode for replays thankfully. The dark and light mechanic is a little misnamed I think, looking out for #1 vs selfl sacrificing would often be the better way of putting it.But for me those are minor quibbles, I liked all the characters, and that their plotlines actually intersected, and the art was really lovely.. I can without a doubt say that this game is not worth buying. Not at it's current price, or any price. The game sells itself as a visual with an Alchemy crafting system, to help tell the story and to fill the space between the visual novel sections. However, what the game is in reality is 95% Alchemy and 5% visual novel. That's way to much filler if you ask me.But thats not the end of it. The Alchemy system is a barebones as it can be, with the player simply choosing a recipe, selecting what items to use and then crafting the item, only to then sell whatever item they have made for money. That's it. The only reason the 'Alchemy' mechanic is in the game is to serve as filler to make the game seem longer than it is. It's not fleshed out, or interesting. It's purely there to make the game seem longer so that the developers can justify a higher price. The visual novel side of things is also terrrible. The characters are bland. The interactions are lifeless. And the player made choices are so... bizare in how they affect the characters (Which they dont really do.) The game tries to sell the player an 'alignment' system to make the visual novel side of things more interesting. But again, similar to the Alchemy system, is purely there the pad out the game. It doesn't make the characters more interesting. It doesn't make the choices anymore meaningful. It is again, a mechanic that was only added to help justify a larger price tag. The developers care so little about this game that they didn't even add a proper ending. The game just... ends. No credits, no nothing. Not even an epilogue for the character you chose to romance. It's just a cash grab and you're not missing out on anything by avoiding it. In fact, you're better off if that's what you choose to do.
